Human beings and our societal structures are all at once beautifully imperfect, yet deeply connected to each other and the variety of all life on Earth. This philosophy underscores the purpose of The Third Sector.

In the series Umama, Jabulani paid homage to single mothers and explored the challenges faced by women raising children on their own in South African townships. In another work from iSisekelo, Jabulani documents semi-detached houses commonly found in Soweto which were built to accommodate an increased number of residents under the Group Areas Act during apartheid. The work illustrates the disjuncture between the uniformity of houses and the individual characteristics formed after years of occupation.
